During their world domination throughout the 90s and into the 21st century, the Spice Girls have won over millions of fans with infectious music beats and transformed a generation of "80's babies" into hardcore worshippers and clinically obsessed fanatics. Under the influence? We hope so. While they've lost fans along the way; many suffering from suicidal depression [as of May 31, 1998] or having allegedly "grown up," and now prefer crap music, a portion of us have remained dedicated since day one. From "zig-a-zig-ah" to "Goodbye," the Spice Girls have poisoned countless lives of unsuspecting fans who don't seem to mind. Whether your prefer Scary, Baby, Ginger, Posh or Sporty, hold your head up- you're high class and better than everyone else! You rock, you Spice Girls fanatic.
We're MAJOR: let others know that you're a Spice Girls fan (and better than them, too) with the all-new brag page.

Best Ever Spice Girl Fan Needed!
Posted by Justin on July 25 2008 @ 3:15pm

Check out this email I got from Virgin.net to post here on the website...

"I'm producing a run through of a brand new TV gameshow for ITV and I'm looking for a young person who knows everything there is to know about The Spice Girls. We are looking for the best Spice Girls Fan Ever! We need this person to be an expert, to live and breath the Spice Girls.

We are doing the run through at ITV in London on the South Bank on 7th August and I was wondering if guys know anyone would be interested in coming along to be The Spice Girls Expert for the run through of the show.

As the Spice Girl Expert, they will be pitted against our resident expert. They will both answer questions on The Spice Girls. The game show will be split into three rounds to determine who knows more, the Spice Girls Expert or our resident expert. This is a live run through in front of ITV executives and if it works they may be invited onto the real show where they could get the chance to play for a big cash prize."

If you're interested, contact Linda at Virgin.net or phone 07905 070 757.

International SPAZ Week!
Posted by Justin on May 12 2008 @ 8:54pm

For some reason, the incredibly stupid British tabloids are SPAZZING out because Geri used the term "spaz" in the quotation below.

"The Queen epitomises what Girl Power stands for because she's maintained a durability and inner strength. [She] has never spazzed out and lost her decorum."

'Spaz' in Brit slag is an insulting term to those suffering from cerebral palsy. In the rest of the WORLD, it's used as an alternate term for "freaking out, hyperactive, overly energetic, or outrageous."

And we all know Geri wanted to hurt the mentally disabled, right? NOT. Seriously, what low-life-with-no-life underpaid gossip columist comes up with this junk?

Anyway, now that the entire country of England is FREAKING, SGF.org has declared May 12 - May 19 'Spazz Week' in Ms Halliwell's defense. Use "spaz" in as many ways as possible all this week!

Brits also use the word "fag" instead of "cigarette." When used in a sentence, 'smoking a fag' can also mean 'shooting/killing a homosexual.' Derogatory, much?

Site Maintenance
Posted by Justin on March 8 2008 @ 9:53pm

As you can tell, SGF.org has a new design. Due to my lack of HTML skills, the layout will remain the same (it's cute), with the graphics and overall mood of the site changing during the next few days.

I'll also be fixing any broken links and icky stuff. 'History' and 'Fashion' will finally be up with the new design, and a bunch of other pages will be updated so we're nice and fresh.

Check back every few days for new wallpapers, MP3s, icons, printable calendar pages, reunion tour photos, updates to the 'Writing,' 'Music' and 'Stage' pages, and new 'MySpice' content for your personal profiles!

We're bringing Spicey back.

SGF.org 'Goodbye' Note...
Posted by Justin on February 27 2008 @ 4:07pm

SpiceGirlsFanatic.org is upset to hear the Spice Girls are no longer an active group as of February 26 2008, putting an end to the final chapter of their historic & notorious legacy.

The reunion and 'Return Of' tour have proved to be an incredible success, drawing in crowds close to 20,000 a night for each and every performance throughout Germany, Spain, England, Canada and the United States. The tour, which originally had a mere 11 dates scheduled all over the world, quickly grew to a list of 40+ after the overwhelming demand for tickets came flooding in.

Due to such a high and unexpected demand, the Spice Girls announced they would be unable to get to all the cities & countries originally planned due to personal commitments and family matters.

Australia, South America, Africa and China have unfortunately missed out on seeing the Spice Girls one final time, due to Simon Fuller's poor management 'skills.' The Girls posted a statement on their site offering an explanation why & a sincere apology to the fans they were unable to perform for.

The Spice Girls have expressed an outpouring of gratitude to fans all over the world for making the reunion & tour what it has become, as well as being there from the beginning and remaining loyal for the past eleven years. The show of emotion during Their final show in Canada is thanks to YOU, whether or not you were able to be a part of the tour.

Not only celebrating the 'Return' and 'Goodbye' of the Spice Girls, Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria are more than greatful to each and every individual who has made the Spice Girls what and who they are.

We look forward to seeing photos of the Girls out and about with one another. From videos and interviews, we know the Spice kids (Phoenix, Brooklyn, etc) will be having playdates soon. It puts a smile on our face, and gives a hug to our heart to be assured the Girls will continue to be involved in each other's lives.

It's important to remember that the Spice Girls will always be "together" and "forever;" even if we aren't able to physically see that. The Girls started out as a five piece and have graciously bowed out as a five piece with faith, respect and dignity. Ending on a high note, their love, acceptance and friendship for one another will never cease to exist. Their music, message an attitude will continue to attract future fans for decades to come.

SpiceGirlsFanatic.org would like to be here for these future, and current, fans. We will continue to update & maintain the site just as we have been doing for the past two years.

It's time to look to the future; Melanie B's third solo album, Geri's series of children's books, Melanie C's Canadian tour and 5th solo record, Victoria's upcoming fashion line, and finally letting Emma get some well-deserved time off to spend with newborn son, Beau.

The Spice Girls haven't split up. They've only put an end to their reign.

Keep checking the site for updates. Now let's put on Say You'll Be There!

'Return of The Spice Girls Tour' Comes to An End
Posted by Justin on February 27 2008 @ 3:55pm

The Spice Girls performed their final show as a group last night in Toronto, Canada, bringing the 'Return Of The Spice Girls' tour to a close after 47 shows throughout Europe and North America. Below is a farewell message from the Girls:

Our time is up... we've come to the end of the road… there are tears of both sadness and joy. Look how far we've come!

Who would have thought that our reunion could have turned out to be this amazing? It just shows what can grow out of an exciting thought, an idea, a hope, a dream. Yes, our reunion tour is proof that dreams do come true.

We have been lucky enough to have shared it with the most loyal fans in the world. Ten years on, you came back still wanting more… and it looks like we made some new friends along the way. You have inspired and ignited us with each show, the 47 that we performed, each time was amazing and it is thanks to you.

So we look to the future with hope and imagination and let Girl Power live on through all of you as it will continue in us and the future generations to come.

We have learnt so much through you and through each other.

Never give up on the good times always believe in the love you find."

We hate goodbyes but sadly the time has come to take our final bow so maybe our song says it best:

"Goodbye my friend, it's not the end... So glad we made it, time will never ever change it..."

Mission Accomplished...

Love,
Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria

The CD/DVD deluxe edition includes a DVD featuring all of the Spice Girls promotional videos, and a gift box version contains the CD and DVD plus a karaoke disc, gift cards and a friendship bracelet.

Greatest Hits Out In UK
Posted by Justin on November 12 2007 @ 8:05pm

Want to help the Spice Girls on the UK charts? Order from Amazon.co.uk, HMV.co.uk or Play.com.

For the first time ever all those classic hits will be available together in one collection. On November 12th 2007 the Spice Girls will release their much-anticipated greatest hits album. Over the years there has been much speculation and rumour about this release, but now it's official. Spice Girls Greatest Hits is being released by EMI Music.

From the summer of 1996 the charts were never quite to be the same again. The world's most famous girl group of all time shot straight to number one with their debut single Wannabe. Instantly Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria became household names, sold millions of albums, traveled the world, made headline after headline, broke all the records and became part of the cultural fabric of this country. The album charts the history of the band, starting with Wannabe, which originally went to Number 1 in the UK and 30 other countries in July 1996, right up to the present day, with two brand new songs, the forthcoming single Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) and Voodoo. The collection also includes their three consecutive Christmas Number One singles (a record they share with The Beatles), 2 Become 1 (1996), Too Much (1997) and Goodbye (1998).

The new single Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) will be the official 2007 Children In Need song in the UK. The girls will be donating all profits to the charity. This single will be available as a download from November 5th ahead of its physical release on the 19th of November. The release of this greatest hits album is sure to get Spice fever in full flow in anticipation of the World Tour, which kicks off in Vancouver on Sunday 2nd December. Tickets for the tour have proved to be the hottest ticket of the year, with the first London date selling out in an amazing 38 seconds! The demand to see this much anticipated show is so great that the girls have had to add an extra 16 London shows (all sold out!) to the original single show that was scheduled, in order to keep up with demand from the ever-loyal fans. The girls have also sold out all their US dates.

Fifty five million records sold, an astonishing nine UK No.1 singles, three-back-to-back UK Christmas No.1 singles and, in Wannabe, the biggest selling single ever by an all female group, the Spice Girls have very little to prove, except that proper pop is back. This is one Greatest Hits album that is long overdue.

As well as a standard CD and digital release, formats will also include a 2-disc version, which features a DVD with all the promo videos. There will also be a special limited box set, which includes exclusive Karaoke and remix CD’s, friendship bracelet, postcards and all the hits on both CD and DVD.
