ROTSG Stage & Screen Photos - by Justin on 01/25/10

I've decided to put my ROTSG photos online. To 'kick off' the batch, I've selected 15 of my favorite photos taken during their show at Madison Square Garden on 2/18/08.

I was raised above the floor, not too far back, but far enough to take advantage of the great view I had. I was able to take photos of the screen, full stage and audience, trying to capture as many moments as I could.

Visit my temporary ROTSG Photos page. I will be adding more to a brand new page soon. Enjoy!

Spice Girls: The Musical? - by Justin on 01/21/10

The Spice Girls are getting their own musical, as confirmed by Mel B on her official site.

Check out News to read the full article.

I'm a little let down. Spice Girls projects should feature The Spice Girls, not five women pretending to be them.

Big Announcement on Monday - by Justin on 01/07/10

MelanieBrown.com just recently posted the following message...

"Melanie has BIG plans for 2010!! Just a few days into the New Year she is already starting things off with a BANG! We have some EXCITING and exclusive news she wants YOU, her fans, to hear first! So log in on Monday the 11th of January to hear all about it!"

It is unlikely that the big news will be about the release of her third solo album...

On 1/5/10, she posted this message on her forum: "my studio time last year all got put on hold (at least 10 songs) due to one of my partners doing fraud. Not pretty. I gotta get myself in the studio and start from scratch, so gonna have to wait alittle longer. Tell me about it, it sucks!!"

Possible announcements might be about her Catty Couture fashion line, her girl-band-search reality show, hosting a 'Brit Awards' show (not the actualy award ceremony), or future Spice Girls plans.

She continued to say on her forum, "Spice Girls do have some plans, all will be revealed pretty soon."

When asked about a documentary-style DVD, she responded, "watch this space. I can't say right now but I will have news for you real soon!"

For all we know, Mel could be pregnant with her third child, coming out with a Totally Fit 2 DVD, opening her own restaurant, joining the panel of judges on a celebrity game show, appearing in a new movie, or about to fly a shuttle to the moon. We'll have to wait and see - MONDAY!

What Do The Spice Girls Have Planned? - by Justin on 09/24/09

After Geri announced that she, Mel B, Melanie C and Emma were “gathering creative ideas” and “information” when asked about the Spice Girls, a huge chunk of the music world has been high up in the clouds with their own opinion of what Miss Halliwell’s statement meant.

The most popular predictions floating around the Internet are a world tour, an album of unreleased tracks, a photobook, and a one-time performance at Wembley Stadium. On the other side of the ring, there are just as many naysayers who believe nothing will come from this and that Geri was only yanking our chain to get attention.

Yesterday, UK tabloid “The Sun” stupidly printed an article stating Mel B was organizing the Girls’ performance at the World Cup in South Africa next June. Even without any concrete evidence to back up their story, a majority of fans chose to believe The Sun’s idiocy. This rumor was shot down the following day by Mel B herself via Twitter, saying “World Cup! Wow, the press are so silly. No, I am not getting the girls together for the world cup! We are getting together for other reasons!”

So the girls are “getting together for other reasons.” But what are they? Surely no one but the girls themselves know. And it is not my or anyone else’s place to confirm or deny what might (or might not) be happening.

It is possible that the girls may be releasing a fourth studio album of brand new tracks. It’s also possible that a small world tour is in the works for 2010. Even the chance of the Girls finally climbing to Mt Everest on an ostrich cannot be ruled out. Why? Simply because we are merely fans- not their spokespersons.

It is unfair to judge what might be happening in the future based on what the girls have said about the group, as well as their solo careers and personal lives, in the past. Perfect example? Melanie C’s insistency that the Spice Girls were “finished.” Then the 2007/2008 tour came along.

So to the fans across the globe arguing with each other online, and the tabloids embarrassingly trying to sell their flagging papers - get off your high horse. You know nothing, and therefore, can say nothing. If you have facts to dismiss the Girls are interested in doing a world tour, provide us with a quote. If you have facts to confirm the Girls are going to be releasing a DVD, direct us to some sort of official statement. This holds true to any and all scenarios regarding future Spice Girls plans.

Do not crush anyone’s dream (or get anyone’s hopes up) because of what you THINK.

The Spice Girls will let us know what’s going on.

Cool down and wait for an official statement. Don’t embarrass yourselves.

Geri Hints at Second Reunion - by Justin on 09/22/09

Click here to watch Geri reveal Spice Girls plans on This Morning, broadcast 9/22/09.

The Girl Power stars split after Halliwell quit the group in 1998 but they reunited at the end of 2007 for a spectacular world tour.

Four members of the five-piece - Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm, and Melanie Brown - were pictured enjoying a night out together in London last week, sparking fervent rumours they will work together again.

All four were in contact with fifth member Victoria Beckham by text during their evening together - and Halliwell has now hinted they are considering a third run in the spotlight.

She tells TV show This Morning, "We are friends first and foremost. Obviously a career and music evolved through that friendship I think. Whatever happens afterwards is a bonus. We always talk about creative plans. Right - now, I'll be honest: We are gathering information about a possibility, but I don't like to... when you are evolving a plan, you don't want to share it with the world."
